If you are searching for the oozing, festering underbelly of the human race, you can surely find it in two locations: in the scribbles on a bathroom stall door; and in the comment section on any given online news article. Leave a Comment explores the polarized nature of online public discourse, pokes fun at social media, and addresses the ever-annoying problem with cell phones. To achieve this, I quote various themes from movies and talking-head news shows. While I resist fully explaining the musical jokes in the piece, I must point out that in the movement #toccata, there are exactly 140 sixteenth notes (a la Twitter’s 140 character limit).
